The METI Digital Platform for Subsidiary Support

Recently, in accordance with the cabinet decision (1 January, 2018) to plan for a Digital Government, which will digitalise the administration of government, movement has been made in regards to the current process that administers subsidy applications through an offline paper-based system.

The current paper-based system, requiring applicants to re-submit overlapping information between applications, has resulted in difficult administration for ventures and small to medium sized companies facing staffing issues.

The goal of this venture is to solve the above problems through the standardisation of common elements among the various subsidy systems, creating a user-friendly system on which applicants can easily apply for subsidies.

Comment from ANNAI President Satoshi Kino on the Announced Partnership

On this occasion, I'm proud that ANNAI has been announced as a joint-veture partner on the METI Digital Platform for Industry Support on the Provision of Subsidies.

[The decision to partner with ANNAI], was a validation of ANNAI's new ideas of integrating the BPM Suite via an API gateway and creating fully decoupled webforms, as well as our proposal to create other public APIs as part of the GovTech ecosystem.

This partnership has strengthened my conviction in ANNAI's vision of using Drupal as an official web platform of the Japanese government.
