How we work remotely : CTO, Yoshikazu Aoyama
In this era of the internet, there are more and more opportunities to work with people from other regions. Our staff members are spread out all over Japan and we have also teamed up with people from outside the country as well. Some are working from Tokyo, Osaka and Nara, some from Niigata and we are also working with someone from Thailand. If the opportunity presents itself we encourage you to try and work with people from outside your region. We are currently planning to expand our network to other regions and today we would like to show you how our staff are collaborating with each other. First up is our Principal Software Engineer, Aoyama.
KYOTO OPEN DATA
Open data portal site operated by Kyoto City. It is the first DKAN introduction case in government-designated cities, and is a high-function site that supports data preview function and SPARQL endpoint.
G Space Information Center
In our lives, maps and location information are often used in various fields. In recent years, there are various services using location information such as car navigation and even games using the GPS information of smart phones. These location information is called G space information (geospatial information).

Pro-face(Schneider Electric) is manufacturing company who is operating more than 20 countries, providing solutions to enhance factory operation efficiency, producing factory automation devices such as touch panel for factory use, control instrument etc. The website has 37 languages, ten-thousands of product, thousands of specification in each product, and hundred-thousands of customer database in the system.

NTT Communications is Japan's largest telecommunication/infrastructure company, and subsidiary company of NTT, listed as Fortune Global 500. Providing data center solution, cloud solution, Network/Security solutions to support their clients. Their business field is worldwide, spreading 40 countries, 120 cities with 140 data center locations.
Urban Data Challenge portal site
Urban Data Challenge(UDC) is the project organized by The University of Tokyo, in collaboration with The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and related organizations. The purpose of this project is to encourage everybody to collect and use the social infrastructure data hosted by the Association for Promotion of Infrastructure Geospatial Information Distribution.

KAVLI IPMU of The University of Tokyo is the international institute dedicated to answering fundamental questions about the universe. The objective of the organization is to find out how the universe started, what its destiny is, the laws it is ruled by, and so on. The institute became more famous when professor Takaaki Kajita was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics.

NPO organization Location Information Service Research Agency is an organization that does location Information R&D, and helps with distributing location related information for any organization, and also helps volunteers support related activities.
